Description

The Ancor Red 8 AWG Tinned Copper Wire provides marine-grade wiring for positive charging, distribution, pump, and higher-current accessory circuits. Tinned copper stranding helps protect the conductor from corrosion and electrolysis in wet and saltwater environments.

Ultra-flexible Type 3 construction makes the 8 AWG conductor easier to route through machinery spaces and electrical compartments while helping it withstand vibration and repeated flexing. Ancor’s premium vinyl insulation remains flexible in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, ultraviolet exposure, heat, and abrasion.

The insulation is rated for 600V, 105°C dry, and 75°C wet service. Ancor states that its Marine Grade wire exceeds UL 1426, ABYC, and applicable US Coast Guard charter-boat requirements.
