Description

The Ancor Red 8 AWG Battery Cable is designed for positive battery leads, charging circuits, inverter connections, and other higher-current marine DC wiring. Tinned copper strands provide additional resistance to corrosion and electrolysis in damp and saltwater environments.

Ultra-flexible Type 3 construction improves routing through electrical compartments and machinery spaces while helping the conductor withstand vibration and repeated flexing. Ancor’s premium vinyl insulation remains flexible in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, ultraviolet radiation, heat, and abrasion.

The insulation carries a 600V rating and is suitable for 105°C dry and 75°C wet service. Ancor states that the cable exceeds UL 1426, ABYC, and applicable US Coast Guard charter-boat requirements.
