Description

The Ancor Black 8 AWG Tinned Copper Wire provides marine-grade wiring for DC-negative, grounding, accessory, and power-distribution circuits. Tinned copper stranding helps protect against corrosion and electrolysis in saltwater and moisture-prone environments.

Ultra-flexible Type 3 construction makes the conductor easier to route around equipment, through panels, and along longer wire runs while resisting fatigue from vibration and repeated flexing. The premium vinyl insulation remains flexible in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, ultraviolet radiation, heat, and abrasion.

The insulation is rated for 600V, 105°C dry, and 75°C wet service. Ancor states that its Marine Grade wire exceeds UL 1426, ABYC, and applicable US Coast Guard charter-boat requirements.
