Description

The Ancor Black 16 AWG Tinned Copper Wire provides marine-grade wiring for DC-negative, control, lighting, electronics, and accessory circuits. Tinned copper stranding helps protect against corrosion and electrolysis in damp and saltwater environments.

Ultra-flexible Type 3 construction makes the wire easier to route through consoles, electrical panels, and machinery spaces while helping it withstand vibration and repeated flexing. The premium vinyl insulation remains flexible in extreme cold and resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline, ultraviolet radiation, heat, and abrasion.

The insulation is rated for 600V, 105°C dry, and 75°C wet service. Ancor states that its Marine Grade wire exceeds UL 1426, ABYC, and applicable US Coast Guard charter-boat standards.
