The Shadow-Caster Light Commander NMEA 2000 is a genuine first in LED lighting control for boats, built to the latest NMEA 2000 lighting control standards for real integration with the rest of your marine electronics. This particular version sticks to NMEA 2000 only, skipping MFD network and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth entirely, so it’s worth knowing upfront that it won’t pair with Garmin, Simrad, Lowrance, B&G, Raymarine, or Furuno display units.

A single module handles up to 6 lighting zones, 4 of which support RGB or RGBW color, and build out a real library of lighting scenes: color changes, fades, rotation, strobe effects, even music sync, giving you genuine creative control over how the boat looks lit up at night.

The housing is durable IP67 with Deutsch-style IP67 connections throughout, built to actually survive a marine environment. A backlit logo signals the build quality Shadow-Caster is known for. It connects via NMEA 2000 backbone for genuine plug-and-play compatibility now that industry-standardized lighting control protocols exist, giving global control over your entire lighting setup, and 6 zones expand to 12 or 18 by adding additional SCM-LC-N2K modules.

6 Instant ON switch inputs let you fire up lights without needing MFD control, and it supports both RGB and RGBW lighting. Digitally fused overcurrent protection runs at 15 amps per channel across 4 channels, and a built-in 3.5mm audio port with microphone handles music sync input directly. Pairing it with the SCM-ZC-REMOTE, Shadow-Caster’s lit-up push-button zone keypad, gives you instant physical control over 4 zones without touching the main unit.
